REPORTING TO:Distribution Division Manager & Managing Director in the absence of Distribution Division Manager.MARKETS:
UAE primary and GCC markets
You will work closely with Marketing Manager, Logistics Manager, Sales Manager, Training Manager and Office Manager, the main objective for your role is maximizing sales per brand within Wellness United portfolio and reaching monthly/6 monthly and annual sales targets for each brand and overall corporate financial objectives.
1. To ensure consistent sales growth in terms of value – achieving monthly / annual targets.
2. To ensure consistent growth of number of doors – with UAE and the GCC countries which needs to be achieved with the following strategies:
1.1.Maximize sales for each brand within Wellness United portfolio in various distribution channels.
1.2. Existing brands – review weekly, monthly, 6-monthly sales per each brand, achieve sales targets per brand;
1.3. Possess detailed knowledge of each brand: positioning, commercial policy, annual sales commitments, ingredients of the products, benefits, knowledge of retail products, and general knowledge of professional products and treatment procedures;
1.4. Prepare annual realistic sales forecasts/targets for each brand and territory based on annual purchase commitments, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy, total expenditures per brand and its targeted profits;
1.5. Penetrate distribution channels required for each brand, considering brands’ USPs, commercial policy, pricing policy and competition;
1.6.Conducting presentations to potential business clients;
1.7. Keeping communication with brands’ head office regarding any sales approvals, etc.
1.8. Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with PR/Marketing Manager/Distribution Division Manager & Managing Director.
1.9. Formulate sales policies, practices and procedures.
1.10. Ensure implementation of products merchandising guidelines in retail stores, spas, pharmacies etc. Collaborate with Marketing Manager on implementation and execution of such standards.
1.11. Implementing sales promotions and special sales offers/campaigns whenever required to drive sales and turn around stocks with short expiry dates well in advance of expiration.
1.12. Develop sales strategies for each brand to improve market share in all product lines and collaborate with PR/Marketing Manager/Distribution Division Manager & Managing Director whenever required
1.13. Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
1.14.Design wholesale incentive scheme for accounts to maximize orders.
1. BA/BS / cosmetic background; MBA is an advantage;
2. 3-5 years’ experience in cosmetic – brand development/sales management;
3. Prior innovation / new product development experience, new product launches and/or major repositioning of a Brand;
4. Experience in category analysis and forecasting.
5. Familiarity with common consumer marketing research tools and techniques;
6. Experience with P&L analysis;
7. Proven analytical ability;
8. Ability to consistently generate consumer insight-driven, creative, big new ideas and concepts;
9. Ability to lead complex, strategic projects through to commercialization;
10. Takes responsibility for cross-functional teams and can influence cross-functional management in conversation and in presentations.
1. A passion for sales with proven success in sales management;
2. Strong ability to establish consumer & customer insights and make strategic recommendations based on this;
3. Proven track record in running a brand, including strong P&L management and commercial acumen;
4. Excellent understanding of the UAE cosmetic retail channels, GCC is advantage;
5. Prior success in leading a best in class NPD launch with strong ROI;
6. Ability to create strong relationships, both with international brands sales & marketing teams and externally with agency partners;
7. Strong analytical skills, with an inquisitive and innovative mindset;
8. Problem-solving oriented;
9. Persuasive and determined with a strong ability to make things happen;
10. Ability to work autonomously and to be flexibly minded;
11. Resilient to competition and continuously changing market;
12. Excellent time management skills;
