The Job Opportunity

Assist in carrying out electrical works as directed by the Technician / Team Leader adhering to work order instructions, procedures, and compliance with HSE and QA/QC policies and not to interfere with the client’s activities.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure that a clean, tidy and safe working environment is maintained at all time by controlling tools, materials and waste products.
Assist with specialist moves, equipment moves, and porterage duties as required.
Assist with various and types of maintenance work as required and where directed by the Technician or Supervisor.
Conform to all necessary internal and/or external approvals before, during, and after maintenance and repair work including Permit to Work and Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
Maintain up to date knowledge through technical training provided by the technician or Supervisor for the safe and efficient operation of all maintenance and repair duties.
Carry out cleaning work in plant and other rooms. Ensure that plant rooms are tidy and all assets and building structure are in good repair and painted to promote the professionalism of the company.

What we are looking for in our candidates

Good level of the English language both written and spoken.
Proficient and able to demonstrate a complete understanding of assisting in electrical maintenance planned maintenance and repair services.
Technically competent with a clear understanding of electrical safety, electrical tools and associated test equipment.
Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player.
Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues and follow instructions.
Able to work safely with knowledge of electrical safety.

Specific requirements

Minimum 2-years experience in a building services electrical department or facilities management environment.
Minimum 2-years maintenance experience in UPS Systems
At least a holder of 2 year diploma/ITI of Electrical/Electronics

The Job Opportunity

Serco is looking for a Driver/Plant Operator whose primary responsibility of this position is the operation of trucks/plant machinery. The identified candidate is also required to undertake general duties required and/or as directed by Manager/Administrator.

Key accountabilities

The Driver/Plant Operator needs to be able to drive light and medium vehicles.
General Plant/Machine operation including road machinery (trailer and semi-trailer combinations,) as directed.
Maintain all machinery and equipment (small) to a high standard
Collect and deliver mail, invoices, payments and collections for Serco DA contract as required, and monitor incoming emails and answer or forward as required
Scanning and copying of documents and preparing outgoing mail for distribution as advised by Contract Administrator.
Update and maintain databases such as mailing lists, contact lists and client information

A lively, energetic and strong personality a practical “can-do” attitude

Specific requirements

High School Diploma or Higher Secondary Education
UAE Driver’s License with a clean driving record
A good knowledge of all office systems and office administration
Knowledge of Arabic language is preferred.
Understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in an easily understood format.
Ability to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff at all levels in the organisation.
Ability to handle confidential information in strict confidence
Ability to work with high integrity and minimum supervision.
At minimum of 2 years’ driving experience in UAE
A minimum of 1 year administrative experience
