As a planning team leader, you will be overseeing the general day-to-day running of the planning teams workload to ensure that we are proposing effective resource plans for the cabin cleaning to British Airways stakeholders, this role will be a leadership role where you will be providing support and guidance to your colleagues and be utilised a critical team member to all senior team, stepping in when required.   • Manage the day-to-day planning and deployment of cleaning teams utilising the GS Planning and WorkforcePlus tools.
  • Set clear priorities for the resource planners and ensure the correct skill is deployed within the operation.
  • Take responsibility for planning performance during the week (ensure theresource is in line with demand)
  • Maintain and review operational engagement standards to ensure they are accurate, relevant and reflect the current operation to ensurethe planned resource is accurate
  • Manage stakeholder relationships during the shift, including with the operational teams airside and landside. Deal with any queries and escalate to the Planning Manager where appropriate
  • Support the operational team withthe use of Inform applications
  • Monitor agreed withresource level across the site in line with budgets, ensuring teams are deployed effectively and downtime is reduced
  • Responsible for the Management and maintenance of Annual Leave bookings for all colleagues on the
  • Support CSR and colleague engagement initiatives across site
  • Record and proactively manage KPIs (specifically related to resource) to drive continuous improvement in the service level and cost performance
  • Work closely with H&S and other members of the leadership team to ensure all standards of the operation are followed
  • Minimise staff turnover and sickness through effective management systems
  • To ensure consistent comprehensive practices are in place for management of all aspects of the company handbook e.g. disciplinary, absence, grievances, appraisals & performance management
  • Ensure communications within the department are effective and consistent
  • Continually challenge existing practices to create improvements in all areas
  • Identify and deliver improvement opportunities using First Choice tools at the site, focusing on delivering continuous improvement and enhanced productivity to grow the business over the next few years
  • Identify and share best practice about ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the site; ensure this is integrated into the Site Development Plan and engage peers to share best practice between sectors and products
