Baba Guru Nanak University Nankana Sahib (BGNU) invites applications from eligible candidates for various teaching and non-teaching positions as per Advertisement No. 1-2026, published in the daily Jang on 09 August 2026. The university is seeking qualified professionals for the following posts on regular and contract basis.

Teaching Positions:

• Associate Professor (BS-20) in Punjabi, Physics, Islamic Studies, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering, and Computer Science & IT. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant field recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), with ten years of teaching or research experience (or five years post-Ph.D. experience) and at least ten research publications in HEC or Pakistan Engineering Council recognized journals.
• Assistant Professor (BS-19) in Punjabi, Zoology, Food Science & Technology, Mathematics, Accounting & Finance, Computer Science & IT, and Metallurgy & Materials Engineering. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized institution, along with five years post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience.
• Lecturer (BS-18) in Food Science & Technology, Computer Science & IT, and Fashion Design. Candidates must possess MS or M.Phil in the relevant field. For Fashion Design, a four-year Bachelor's degree in Designing (first division) is required.

Non-Teaching Positions (Punjab Domicile Only):

• Legal Advisor (Retainership): LLM/LLB with ten years' professional experience; Advocate of Supreme Court with reported judgments preferred. Retainership fee is Rs. 100,000 per month.
• Assistant Registrar (BPS-17): Master's degree or ACCA/ACMA/BS (second division) from an HEC recognized institute.
• Computer Programmer (BPS-17), Security Officer (BPS-17), Horticulture Officer (BPS-17), Assistant (BPS-16), Security Guard (BPS-05), Bus Driver (BPS-04), LTV Driver (BPS-04), Plumber (BPS-04), Carpenter (BPS-04), Mali (BPS-01), Bus Conductor (BPS-01), and Sweeper (BPS-01) with required qualifications as detailed in the advertisement.

Age limits: Associate Professor 30-50 years, Assistant Professor 25-45 years, Lecturer 21-35 years, and for non-teaching positions as specified. Candidates with third division in their academic career are not eligible unless they hold a Ph.D. and have not more than one third division in the entire academic career. Non-teaching positions require Punjab domicile. Applications without the system-generated fee challan will not be entertained; the deposit amount is non-refundable/non-transferable. Incomplete or late applications (even if dispatched through courier) will be rejected. The university may conduct a test or screening if more than ten applications are received for a post, but test marks will not be included in the final merit as per the approved recruitment policy.
