What you’ll do

The Sales Excellence Partner – Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism (CVRM) will , develop and deliver learning programmes aligned to the needs of brand strategy plans that enhance the sales, clinical and NHS knowledge and capabilities of the aligned business unit, allowing our customer-facing teams to operate at the top of their license.

Key accountabilities

To design, develop and deliver industry leading sales, clinical and brand knowledge induction and refresher learning programmes, in addition to initiatives supporting new product launches

To assess and respond to evolving external and competitive environment to support BU with targeted clinical/brand knowledge interventions; this may include advising on the best course of action, coordinating a learning intervention, or leading on the design and delivery of a programme of activity

To lead and/or support with strategic ‘above brand’ learning-related projects

Ensure compliance of all AZUK Governance Framework and ABPI, including leading the learning content compliance approval process and learner progress tracking

BU Capability Development

Operate as a core member of the BU LT (at the table)to map brand strategy and product/competitive priorities to role-specific training and capability needs to help create a roadmap of learning interventions to support your TA

Work with the BU Operations Lead, Sales, and teams to define a sustainable operating model to design and deliver role-specific sales, brand, clinical and NHS learning programmes to your aligned business unit

Work with the Operations Lead, RBDs and RBMs to drive and encourage in-call and omnichannel effectiveness in support of their direct reports

Ensure online learning content for sales, clinical and NHS is kept up to date across all relevant learning platforms in line with L&D SOP’s for your TA (includes Degreed, Acto, Xyleme)

Induction Programmes

Own, design, develop and deliver industry leading sales, brand, clinical and NHS induction training programmes to new hires in customer-facing roles, as well as broadening exposure to marketing and other cross-functional team members across AZUK BBU as appropriate, to the highest consistent standards incorporating different learning styles

Partner with XF subject matter experts to develop and deliver learning content

Lead third party suppliers where appropriate to ensure the delivery of quality learning interventions

Align with the BU Operations Lead to schedule a roadmap of ITCs and induction activity throughout the year, and communicate this roadmap with BUDs, RBDs and RBMs

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

ABPI qualified

Designing and delivering sales capability programmes in a highly matrixed and XF environment

Sales or medical experience in the pharma industry in one of AstraZeneca’s therapy areas (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, heart failure, chronic kidney disease)

Coaching experience

Advanced communication and influencing skills

Desired requirements

LPI qualification or membership (or equivalent)

Professional qualification linked to a relevant therapy area (e.g.asthma, COPD, diabetes, heart failure, chronic kidney disease)

Marketing experience

Pharmaceutical sales experience (first line)

Experience and evidence of classroom and online learning design creation leading to lasting behaviour change

Influencing decision making at business unit leadership level

Leading cross-functional teams of internal and external SMEs to design and deliver learning programmes

Project managing and delivering learning initiatives to sales teams for new product launches
