Positions holders focus on developing commercial/pricing strategies for a portfolio of current and future products across targeted customer/market segments including:
Researching market to understand competitive landscape.
Undertaking salesforce analysis to support pricing strategy development.
Identifying target market position by geography, competitors, customer group, etc.
Developing commercial/pricing strategy (e.g., low price or high quality) to achieve targeted market position(s).
Modelling of complex project pricing and developing profit and loss analysis.Accountability Level:
Manages an Operational Job Family for an entire region/country. Establishes operational/Job Family plans for job area over the short to mid-term (1-3 years) with a direct impact on results. Influences business decisions made by leadership on complex issues that are of strategic importance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modelling, Pricing and Decision Support
    • To take the lead on preparation and finalization of commercial pricing models and outputs, being fully accountable for end-to-end processes including ensuring receipt and cost assessment of inputs from all key stakeholders – operations, , supply chain, tax, , and .
    • Ensuring high level of accuracy and validity of pricing models and related inputs.
    • To liaise with sales and operational personnel to ensure that all quotations and other support information required for pricing is delivered in timely manner and subject to appropriate review/challenge.
    • Provide and present sound financial summaries and insight to senior AME team during internal and external review sessions in order to ensure appropriate project decision making.
    • Develop and implement tools, procedures, and best practices to improve pricing and overall governance processes.
    • To strongly enforce ‘process compliance’ in line with governance policies by sales teams.
    • Demonstrate and propose sound knowledge of innovative pricing strategies and deal structures to maximize the chances of success.
    • Preparation of White Paper and other processes to seek approval from team covering key assumptions, returns, cash flows, risks, and sensitivities.
    • Completion of financial bid deliverables to be submitted as part of tender/bid requirements.
    • To build and maintain a repository of key input and outputs for various bids to develop meaningful pricing benchmarks and lessons learnt from prior bids.
    • Own and maintain the commercial model template ensuring improvements and updates are regularly incorporated.
    • Being AME representative for APS related commercial model activities/updates and provide regular training and updates to the wider AME key stakeholders.
    • Update the risk register on regular basis to ensure that the team is aware of existing/new risks/mitigations so that impact on pricing is adequately addressed/mitigated.
    • Share best practices, knowledge, and pricing details with key AME stakeholders.
    • Provide an external perspective on pricing, scanning the macro environment for emerging trends.
    • Manage and deliver ad-hoc analysis to key stakeholders in a timely fashion.
    Professional skills / experience
    • Minimum of 5 years in a relevant commercial and/or finance function
    • Deep experience in preparing financial models, operational decision-making models, and corporate best practice (ratios, KPIs, structures)
    • Experience with Infor ERP environment, Financial Consolidation systems and BI
    • Advanced use of Microsoft office (primarily Excel and PowerPoint)

    • Able to work effectively across regions in a geographically dispersed global organization
    • High level of credibility and ability to deal with sensitive information
